This is such a great scene with a great story. It's very strong compositionally with the majority of the subject sitting in the lower third of the image, I really like this framing. Wonderful colours of the clothing popping against the landscape all adding to its strength and of course the human embrace in the centre, great.
Interesting moment you've caught here capturing the two people in conversation. Its such a strong composition and you've done a great job of the black and white conversion to produce those subtle tones. I really like the position of the two people and do wonder how this image would change if they both were to look to camera. Great shot.
Interesting to see the owner in their space with their products. She doesn't overly happy being photographed and I feel her eyes are purposely swaying from the camera. Gives a bit of an intense feel but that I like! I agree it feels it suits black and white, Shunji Dodo is a great Japanese photographer with some interesting b&w street work you may like!
Brilliant moment you've caught here. The colours are exceptional and couldn't have worked better together with that pink wall and green shirt. The distant blurred figure looking towards camera adds to the tension of the image. The light is fantastic capturing your figures in strong shadow with a slither of highlight detail.
This is great documentary shot and you've caught the tension and passion of the speaker really well. The little girls expression is where my eyes go to even before reading the poignant message she holds up. You say you cropped it which isolates these 2 people really well but I'd also love to see what else is happening in this scene.
Great image, its got a very current and contemporary feel to it. It's difficult to shoot in the mid day sun and this shows how to make a successful image in those lighting conditions. Check out the work of Gregory Halpern, his book ZZYZX will bring some further inspiration I'm sure if you don't know it already. You've done a good job on the grain too, not too much and it really gives an overall film quality in the sky and skin tones.
This is such a powerful portrait that I had to make it the winner. As a portrait it gives us all the information we need, it's both full of heartbreak and hope. The light is fantastic and the black and white conversion works very well further adding to the emotion of the image. Iv'e just looked at your other portraits, stunning work, well done.

Tricky shot to capture with the movement of the motorcycle and the vehicle you were travelling in. I like the sense of speed in the shot and the way they are almost looking towards camera. Looks like a dangerous way to travel! Perhaps it may be stronger to leave as a black and white giving it a timeless quality without the added colour.
I'm not quite sure if the girl is showing us something or you've just caught a moment with her hand raising but I really like it. Seems like a homemade studio set up, again I like that and the fact you can see the backdrop creases. It could be a booth set up where she may be reading our palms! I think its success is in its ambiguity. Great in black and white.

A successful scene, I like the girl looking up to camera while the cotton candy man continues his work. The light has been a little difficult to control especially on the candy man, the harsh sun has lost detail in his head and shirt, possible to control in Lightroom or other editing software. Tricky to control with a camera phone. Otherwise the black and white treatment works well and its a good composition.
Wonderful family portrait and I really like seeing the kitchen in the background with the half drunk beer and bottles. It looks like you've pulled the people away from the table to the chair leaving the scene for the picture which works really well. A little bit of contrast in post production would help a little with the backlight coming through the window to bring a little more detail to the faces, otherwise really good.
