This is in my top 10 because of the pure rawness and simplicity of it, it's a cracker. I love the location and the girls thoughtful gaze away from camera. Its a 'moment' well caught. I see you've been shooting a year, keep going if you enjoy it, you've got a good eye for composition and catching those overlooked moments.
Technically quite a challenge you've set yourself here and its a good outcome. Great scene and location and the black and white conversion works well. Shooting in strong sun will only give a certain amount of blur at a high aperture so you could get yourself an ND filter which will reduce the amount of light hitting the lens giving you a slower shutter - creating even more blur if required.
Amazing colours in this shot, Ive always wanted to visit Jodhpur! Photographing people is a challenge but I'm pleased you pushed yourself to commit to it. You've made a good job of it and produced a candid shot. Technically you could (in a similar situation) select an aperture on your camera that would give you the depth of field (blurred background) you have tried to create in post processing. f4/f2.8 if your lens goes that far. This would also give you a faster shutter speed and reduce the movement - try to keep above 1/15 handheld.
Its great you have a friend to model for you so you can experiment with your photography. It's so important to try things out and you've created an interesting image that is unique to you both. Collaboration is so important so I encourage you to experiment more and be as free as you have been with this approach. Maybe a little more contrast in lightroom/photoshop would help the image pop bit more.
This is great! I love the smile on the girls face running through the shot and the idea of emulating the wall painting. Looks good in B&W too on your page! Would be good to perhaps try some post production work on it, just to bring up the contrast slightly and possibly darken the white sky a little.
Great use of the space and location. I think most importantly it looks like your children are enjoying the moment and having fun with you which certainly comes across in the shot. Often a camera/phone on walks can be a great distraction from the day to day life we all lead, it can transport us momentarily and create shots like these.
