There is a lot to love about this image. In the first instance, the composition works really well with the leading lines and curves of the stones, road and parked vehicles leading the eye into the frame. However, it is the couple in the foreground enjoying ice cream and turning their back on it all that adds a delightful narrative element.

A sense of humour and the decisive moment are at the core of this intriguing street scene. There is also a wonderful sense of energy and movement that has captured in the 'chase'. The formal composition creates a considered stage for the events to unfold. Nicely done.

A wonderful, controlled and considered image of a ballet dancer. The lighting is very good, showing off the human form beautifully. The black and white treatment is also well done, however, it is the split-second capture of the decisive moment that really makes this image.

This is a really interesting poratit. The use of light and shadow is lovely and helps create a wonderful sense of space and place. The composition is bold and daring. Keeping the subjects face in shade adds a sense of depth and intrigue.

The photographer has done well to use the 'language' of photography to describe personal feelings of sadness and isolation in an intimate way. The use of colour, tonality and composition and the of the pillow as a poignant prop all speak to this eloquently. Beautifully done.
