This beautiful study of hands has been perfectly executed. The subtle treatment of the tonality and black and white conversion has been handled with a sensitivity to the subject and the softness to the focus adds to the emotional energy of the shot.

The informal moment captured in what would, I assume, have been an otherwise quite formal and stoic expression is lovely. The natural, fun expression works well and I like the way it's at odds with the intended vibe of the shoot. Nicely seen and captured.

This is a lovely 'happy' family image. the silhouetted figures have been perfectly positioned. Shooting directly into the sun (contre jour) like this is a challenge and requires skill and understanding to get right, so well done. The light on the path is just enough to give a lovely sense of depth and direction.

I love the dark and moody atmosphere in this image. The lone, dark figure walking away from the camera creates a wonderful sense of narrative and adds to the mood. While convention might suggest the horizon should be level, in this instance I like the energy and tension the 'twist' adds.

Photographing people at work is a really good way to make engaging and interesting portraits. Taking a step back to include the 'environment' helps create a sense of place. I like the sense of depth the white cloth on the table creates, but I also find it a little distracting.

This is a lovely portrait that captures a wonderful expression. The simple, but eloquent, composition is held together by the fabulous use of colour. The reds, greens, yellows and hints of blue and purple are all working in totally harmony. Great work.

Portraying the 'emptiness of town centres during the height of the pandemic was/is a challenge. Here the photographer has done well in achieving that, by choosing a scene with the lone figure, converting to black and what and selecting a low down angle that includes the highly reflective floor.

Excellent use of light in this lovely portrait. There is a real sense of depth and vibrancy, The colours and tones have been artfully handled to bring out the rich character of the subject. I love the little hint of red at the bottom left witch adds a touch of tension

A powerful image that says so much. Making the image black and white and photographing in the 'documentary' tradition was a good choice. I like the eye contact with the medical professional in the background just looking through the negative space in the top centre of the frame. Good work!

I love this image. It is the red that gives the composition a lovely sense of rhythm, balance and harmony. It also just goes to show that you do not need to include a face to make an engaging 'people' picture.

This powerful image is loaded with mystery and intrigue. The strong contrast along with the black and white treatment has been skillfully handled and creates a wonderful mood. The quiet connection with the subject and their contemplative expression is thought-provoking. Nicely done!

I love the quietly spoken vibe of this engaging and intriguing image. The composition is simple yet sublime. The arrangement of shapes and positioning of the subjects works well along with the direction of their respective gazes. The subtle colour palette from using film is the icing on the cake.

I love this modern take on Ophelia. As a subject interpretations of Opehlia abound which makes it all the more challenging to give it a unique twist. In this instance the reimaging is great. I particularly like the use of the bath tub and the tap just evident in the top right corner provides a lovely contemporary accent.

I love the rich, warm summer vibe in this image. It is not easy shooting into the light but in this instance, the exposure has been skillfully handled. The shallow depth of field has created a lovely 'bokeh' in the background. The low angle of view and direct eye contact makes a strong and engaging connection with the subject.

This is a beautiful seen and choreographed image. The long corridor creates a lovely 'frame' for the main subject and also provides a wonderful sense of depth. The handling of the black and white tones has been artfully conceived and helps create a sense of balance and harmony.
