This is a great moment you have captured that gives an insight into the farming life in this part of India. It has a timeless feel to it helped by the black and white conversion - great tones across the whole image. Well done. My only suggestion would be to caption the place so viewers know exactly where it was taken.
Quite a striking picture you've made of your sister with your phone. It has all the elements of a successful photo, strong composition, great colours and strong depth of field bringing the focus onto your sister. I like the night scene going on behind your friend. He's a little dark and I think the whole photo could be lifted slightly. You could do this in post by adjusting the levels and shadows. Or when you shoot open up to 3.5 on your lens and increase the ISO some more. Its a good composition and shot - is that mag still going?! (thrasher)
