There is a beautiful and evocative use of space and light in this lovely photograph. The richness of the dark tones creates a wonderful sense of depth, which works well with the light falling on the subject and the bed which adds to the sense of narrative.

I love the sense of quiet contemplation in this simple, but a highly effective portrait. The position of the subject's head, looking slightly up with closed eyes is sublime. The simplicity of the blurred landscape in the background with its subdued colour palette sets the scene beautifully.

The wonderful colours and warm glowing light make this image stand out from the crowd. The lovely hues of greens and oranges are beautifully harmonised. While the engaging connection of the subjects' eyes with the camera adds to the overall vibe.

A lovely shot of someone preparing Thanka. The movement captured in the hands gives the image a real sense of energy. The natural light coming in from the right adds depth and the mirror reflecting the subject face back at the camera is wonderfully nuanced.

This is a strong picture of an artist at work with a lovely sense of narrative. There's an interesting juxtaposition between the painter and the dramatic waves and I really like this. I hope he didn't get wet, it looks close.

Excellent use of the foliage as a framing device. The piercing eye penetrating the green leaves is hugely effective. The handing of the colours and tones has been skillfully handled. The overall impact of the image is strong, dynamic and engaging.

What an amazing variety of elements happening in one single frame. Just about everywhere you look there is a story or interaction unravelling. The gritty, concrete urban backdrop creates a wonderful stage to set the narratives. I'm not entirely sure how to interpret the title, "Join or Die", but it adds food for thought.

Excellent use of leading lines to draw the viewer's into the frame and towards the subject. Nicely done. The shallow depth of field works well too. The central position of the subject in the frame is inspired and works a treat. I hope it wasn't a live railway line. Be careful.

A simple but highly effective profile shot. The clean, uncluttered and evenly lit background provides the perfect setting. The subject appears to be cool, calm and easy with the camera. I love the overall composition the balance of space has been artfully considered.

There is a strong sense of engagement in this portrait. The pose, with the subject looking over their shoulder works well and the flower adds a sensual twist that speaks the image's title. The lighting is strong too, bringing depth, but it's the eye contact that makes the image shine.

Good use of refection in this image as a compositional device. The stillness of the water has been a good friend to the photographer creating an almost mirror-like reflection. The wistful pose and gaze of the subject gel with the woodland mystic.

The composition in this is sublime, I love the arrangement of all the various elements. The positions of the dog and man with their backs to each other creates an interesting tension. The hard, contrasty light and shadows, especially through the fence are bold and graphic.

A dark and mysterious image that's made all the more mysterious with the image title, 'Investigator. For me, this creates a film noir-esque sense of narrative. The richness of dark tones and the small spot of light from the top left add to the mystery.
