There is a lovely, quiet and contemplative vibe to this image as the subject appears lost in thought, oblivious to the snow falling on her head. The atmosphere is simply sublime and beautifully captures the coldness of winter. Excellent work.

Multiple exposures can be a great way to add depth and creativity to an image. Literally adding layers of potential meaning. This is a fine image that uses the technique well. However, I sense that the source images might not be quite the right quality, so it may be worth revisiting this with some higher-res images. Otherwise sterling work!

A nicely captured street portrait. I really like the structure of the composition of this image. "Convention" might suggest that the subject needs 'space' to walk into, however, in this instance I like the tension created by the subject walking out of the frame.

I really like the arrangement of the elements of this image. The more I look at it the more intriguing and engaging it becomes - with the man smoking on top of the ladder next to a wall with what appear to be at least 8 telephones.

This is a beautiful and intriguing image that's been thoughtfully put together with artistic skilly. However, it is also loaded with meaning and addresses important issues which makes it all the more interesting. It's hard to create an image that stops you in your tracks and makes you think, but this image does just that. Bravo.

A powerful and engaging portrait. The choice of a low angle accentuates this and gives the image a strong and dynamic structure, especially with the boot dominating the foreground. The black and white conversion works well and adds to the energy of the image.

Slick, professional and well-executed. This accomplished image shows off the amazing grace of a circus performer. The lighting is excellent and the composition is nicely handled. Using a black background has really helped focus attention on the performer with zero distractions.

What a lovely study of green, light and shade. There's an amazing luminosity and vibrancy to the greens in this portrait. The masked character blends gracefully into the scene with a. sinister twist as the image title suggests. Lovely work.

An amazing self-portrait that is packed with mood and atmosphere. Taking a portrait like this of someone else would be challenging enough but adding the self-portrait element makes it a real achievement. There is a good sense of narrative that is enhanced by the clever lighting.

Great use of leading lines and colour to create an engaging and thoughtful portrait. I love the way the subject is looking away from the camera as if inviting us to share the experience and join in on the adventure.

Excellent use of foliage in the foreground to create a frame within a frame. A small aperture, (such as f/2.8) has blurred the foliage helps that frame evokes the cool, California summer vibe., of course, this is evident with the main subject and wider landscape too. All-round good work.

A thoughtful and contemplatively portrait. The clever lighting creates a highly evocative sense of place and is a great example of how creative lighting, cunning use of tonality and colour can come together to create mood and atmosphere and help tell a story.

What a lovely, delicate and subtle portrait. The sensitive and harmonious handling of the tones and delicate hues has been skillfully controlled. It's hard to work with high key tones but the photographer has pulled it off gracefully. The engaging connection between the subject is what ultimately makes the shot.

A wonderfully dynamic, vibrant and upbeat portrait. Red is quite a difficult colour to work with, however, the photographer has done well to use it creatively balancing the flowers and the backdrop. The central position of the subject adds to the strength of the image
