This is a nicely balanced portrait with a difference. WIthout showing her face you have still managed to capture such a lovely feeling in your photo. Her hand on the har, the texture of her hair against her clothes and the softness of the background all work well together. The light and tone of the image also help build the overall feeling.

This photograph has a wonderful moodiness to it. The one bright light throwing its warm tones creates a somewhat inviting but somewhat mysterious feeling. I think your exposure is bang on and so is your composition. You have timed it well to convey the sense of movement in your subject.

Nicely captured! Your timing was great to frame her like this and have her in the bright light. I like the moodiness this evokes in your photograph. I think the presence of the other two people in the background also help to make it a strong image, partly because they are both anonymous.

This is a very interesting composition. The lines and shapes work well to frame your subjects in an interesting manner. I think the conversion to monotone also helps strengthen the composition as any strong colors could have been quite distracting. The lighting is also well done.

This is a very nice portrait of a musician. His focus and concentration are superb and you have captured this well. The lights are well balanced to illuminate him in an interesting way and to keep the background dark. The tight crop is interesting.

This is a strong portrait. I like the intense stare he is giving us. He appears relaxed but serious at the same time. I wonder if he was not so comfortable having his picture taken. I think that cropping the top so there is not so much empty space above his head would help improve this picture.

I love the mood and colors in this portrait. Her expression also fits the mood of the image very nicely.. The light and composition work well with the colors of the fabric and with her make up and skin tone.

I find this to be a very interesting composition. The shapes and textures in the photograph work so well together. The sullen expression of your subject matches the coldness and wintery feeling of the leafless trees in the background. I think converting this photo to black and white has helped to give it more depth and feeling.

This is a wonderful photo full of feeling and depth. The couple's expressions are precious. You have captured the moment so beautifully. The lighting suits the mood of the whole image very well and I like that they are both wearing stripes because it helps even more to tie them together. Congratulations on being the winner of this competition!

What a fun picture and a lovely story to go with it. You have captured the relationship between the man and his pet perfectly. They are nicely isolated from everything so our attention is not distracted. I like that there's enough in the background to show us the photo was taken in the street.

I love the composition and the expression on the couple's faces. You have captured so much feeling and there is no doubt that this was a special day. I would have rated this image much higher if it was sharp. Unfortunately, the whole photo is blurred due to camera movement. A shutter speed of 1/25 id very slow.

The combination of the smoke and his contemplative expression sets a great atmosphere for this portrait. The conversation to black and white I think also helps to shape the mood of the photo. I think cropping the top to illuminate or reduce the bright areas at the top of the image would help to improve it a little.

Great fun portrait and a real character. His expression fits well with his costume to help to tell us a story. Even though the background is out of focus I still find it a bit distracting, mainly because of the strong blue color.

Great angle for this portrait. I think a more conventional angle would not have suited your subject so well as this one does. I like the lighting and your exposure. The blue sky behind reinforces the sense of hope we see in your subject's expression.. A slight change in your framing to avoid having the bright tree trunk behind the head would have improved the composition.

Great portrait! I love the angle that makes the child look bigger than they are. The hands on hips is very adult which adds some humor to the portrait and ties in well with the bigness your angle appears to create.. You have timed the photo well to convey a sense of movement.
