December 2022

Thank you for submitting this photo to this contest, great subjects captured and colour tones within the landscape. I'd suggest in future photoshoots like this, set your camera up on a tripod and use a reflector. This will help with lighting and reflections in glasses. This is great!

Congratulations! Thank you for entering this contest, this portrait immediately caught my eye. The quality is incredible and a great moment of joy captured amongst the festival. I'm a fan of landscape portraiture, especially in a street setting, you're considering the environment just as much as your foreground. Brilliant editing too.

I love the cinematic value this landscape shows, strip lighting directed with the bounce back from the spheres. I’d suggest shooting this again at a higher ISO and faster shutter speed. If the lighting is an issue, you can introduce flash heads for extra impact. Well done!

I want to emphasise this image as travel narrative, the lighting is strong and reflects well on your model. You've captured the intensity well, this is a skill adapted by yourself which is good for natural capturing, continue developing these skills!

Really fun portrait that focuses on both stillness and movement, you’ve captured your model at a good angle where her face is in focus and recognisable in a wave of motion blur with flying locks of hair. Great approach of using black and white here, I feel it centres the hustle and bustle of the environment.

This portrait is so theatrical and has references to illustration and the hyperreal with your lighting, pose, and editing. White is powerful to use for a portrait as a backdrop. I commend you on the edit of a watercolour splash!

This is a sweet portrait and interesting framing, with the strong eye contact, it looks like a special moment you've taken. You've captured a moment which feels intimate, and the hand pose adds an extra detail that would suggest an openness, very kind too. Great depth of field here.

I like how strong of a silhouette this portrait is and the narrative you've suggested with two lovers in the sunset. This is a great entry, you’ve balanced the lighting so well that it doesn’t over expose your sitters features. Great job!

I want to highly credit this portrait for its detail efforts. The close crop showing the in focus detail of the face with a sense of curiousness. Great impact of eye detail, your F stop must've been at a compile level for a macro shot!

This is a lovable portrait and has a sense of wholesomeness overall. You've captured this moment under ambient lighting, I feel to edit this photo further, I would this would help with the redness in the walls and skin. Well done!

This is a charming portrait, edited and framed well. I like the tones used here, and thank you for mentioning the production details behind this portrait. Further, in post, I would suggest aligning the horizon line to match the flowing lavender pathway.

Thank you for entering this contest! I found your image very reminiscent of early 70s portraiture. Your model is up front and in control of the narrative with direct eye contact. This references the work of Richard Avedon and I suggest experimenting with film photography for future shoots!

In this image has a travel story to it, with the environment and diverse foreground and background. This is an interesting camera angle, where you've captured both aspects well. Your sitters feel comfortable in this setting, and you've achieved this natural approach to travel photography!

I’m drawn to this image as the main narrative captured, and so much more is included. This looks like a very special moment between children and a sisterhood is in development. Clever capture and lucky moment to document, great choice of blurring techniques too. good job!
