February 2023

I like the tones used here, and I'm really interested in the developing techniques you've used with this camera. Your approach is great, a traditional subject reference taken with a traditional camera. For your next shoot, try to use studio lights.

I really love how delicate this portrait and the sense of calm it brings to the eye. Great subjects captured and colour tones, I feel the most successful part of is the detail of light highlighting your happy couple. A success!

I want to highly credit this portrait for its detailed points and focal approach to your subject. This is a tremendous entry, you’ve balanced the lighting so well that it doesn’t over expose your model's features too. Next time, try a wider crop for more intensity.

Congratulations! This landscape portrait immediately caught my focus. I like the tones used here, and thank you for mentioning the production details behind this portrait. For an additional shot, I would suggest shooting as a portrait with the backdrop cropped. Great work!

Thank you for entering this contest! I’ve chosen this image to review to further commend your use of location and balance of light in this portrait. I understand your pin up referencing, and it's clever how you've approached it in a documentary setting.

Thank you for submitting this photo to this contest, great subjects captured and colour tones with the landscape. I appreciate the angle taken here, it feels such a natural approach to street photography and creates a warm narrative, the sun filling the scene.

Great landscape and documentary approach, a scene that is very British and well recognised. I'd suggest editing the temperature controls to further bring that reality in to this edit. The crop is strong and touches on cinematic value too. Good job!

Thank you for submitting this photo and including, the capture detail for this shot. Reading this, I feel your ISO could be brought up to 100 instead of 50 as the environment looks very well lit and will help with fast motion actions.

Thank you for entering this photo to this contest, I appreciate this angle very much. You've invited this narrative and subtly making a connection between your subject and the graffiti art. Especially with the space involved, keep using this in future photos!

I want to highly credit this portrait for its studio efforts, the styling here with your model. I'd suggest adding another light to support this direction of lighting, mainly to highlight the detail on the eyes. Keep practising and experimenting.

Thank you for submitting this photo to this contest, great subjects captured and black + white tones within the marketplace, holding a lot of detail that doesn't overcrowd the shot. There is a generational narrative here, Grandmother, mother, and daughter (on the phone), great entry!

I'm really interested in the technology used here to capture this sun filled image. It's classic LA, and it seems fitting to shoot this on a very modern phone that is known for it's high camera use. Great centering of your subjects too.
