I want to highly credit this portrait for its lighting efforts, the styling here with your model, really suits this direction of lighting. The narrative is evident with the framing of your models’ features, and shooting location. I suggest editing a closer crop here.

This is a sweet portrait and interesting framing, with the wide cropping. You've captured a moment which feels special, and the contrast in facial poses adds an extra detail not many would pick up. I'd suggest editing out the man in the back to bring more attention to the subjects.

Really fun portrait that focuses on both stillness and movement, you’ve captured your model at a good angle where her face is in focus and a great focus on the two glasses. I'm really happy that this moment was captured on 35 mm film.

I love the cinematic value this landscape shows, heaving with people captured with immense detail. I’d suggest editing the contrast overall, slightly darker and the yellow brighter to balance this all out. Introducing a blur effect in the distance may be a great, edition. Well done!

This portrait has so many theatrical references with lighting, styling, and motion too. It's an interesting frame and crop here, especially with the static / noise / grain overlay. This could be art approach to a documentary series on American culture.

Thank you for submitting this photo to this contest, great layering captured and balance of levels with the heavily featured neon use. I wish I could read your technical details, specifically your shutter settings, I feel with a higher number, you will achieve more detail.

Congratulations! I commend your high production use for the result of this image, studio lights, professional model and set design to amplify the portrait's narrative. Well done, it’s lit very theatrical and could be experimented further in a video format, I suggest collaborating with a swim team and feature them in a video in this very style!

Thank you for entering! Reading about your technical difficulties, " having the maximum aperture and speed possible on a cloudy day. " I recognise this and I suggest that you bring a fill in flash that will secure this issue.

The Collector - A brilliant name for a great portrait and scene. I appreciate the angle taken here also, especially how you have extended the frame with the beach location, which has major cinematic value and narrative. Continue with this approach to family portraiture!

Unseen Force - This abstract portrait has interesting focal points, however, I feel the loss of hands with the crop effects this. I would suggest making a tighter crop and concentrate on the silhouette. You do have a great eye for portrait photography!

I’ve chosen this image to review to further commend your use of layers and balance of light in this landscape. I feel the division of foreground and back really connect the view to the beach, it gives an openness to the visuals.

Congratulations! I want to emphasise this image as travel narrative, the lighting is strong and moulded well against your subjects. Furthermore, your subjects are in conversation and not aware of the camera. This is a skill adapted by yourself which is good for natural capturing, continue developing these skills!

I love the cinematic value this landscape shows, I found your image very reminiscent of campaign advertising, your models all have alternative posing and expressions. Why this references advertising is how you’ve left a great amount of space for text from said advertiser. Good job!

Motherhood - Your brave daughter! Thank you for submitting this photo to this contest, great layering captured and grey tones with the shadows. Reading about your tech difficulties, I feel the lighting here is a success. You have captured pregnancy well.

This is a sweet portrait and excellent styling with your model here. You have balanced the ambient light well, as your model has little to no shadows. I would suggest not cropping out the hands here, as it looses that initial impact of the photo. Continue practising this style, though!
