This is an intriguing portrait of a Shamanic woman. Firstly, I like the treatment; the formal approach and sepia tint hark back to the early 20th-century travel photos. But I also like the weird movement and distortion of the Shaman's arms, which feel like a hallucinogenic, dream-like state is in process.
I love the complex relationship between the protagonists in this intriguing capture. The gaze of the three subjects, one looking at their phone, presumably for a selfie, one (the main subject) looking directly at the photographer's camera and the other looking and pointing at the main subject, is really interesting. The composition is excellent, and the mono treatment is spot on. Love it!
A wonderful, rich and vibrant image. You've captured the vibe of the desert with style. The handling of the tones is simply sublime, with lovely detail in the highlights and shadows. While the photographer's seeing and vision are the essence of this image's success, it's a fine example of how good a humble smartphone camera can be!

I love the layers of the landscape in this image. The tones and textures work really well. The two figures add to the narrative, even more so when reading the text and understanding that they're father and son. The barely visible bird they appear to be looking at adds another layer of depth and intrigue.
