An accomplished, professional-looking portrait. The light has been skillfully handled, with lovely catchlights in the subject's eyes. The tones have been sensitively handled with just enough detail in all the right places. Likewise, the mono conversion works a treat. Nicely done!

This striking image is all about the decisive moment which has been skillfully captured. I love the way the shape of the human figure somehow echoes the branches of the natural shapes of the trees in and around the lake.

This engaging portrait has a lovely, quietly spoken vibe. The subject's gaze, looking slightly out of the frame, adds a compelling sense of narrative. The natural environment in the background adds interesting context. Finally, the mono treatment has been skillfully controlled. Good work!

What a strong and delightful portrait, made all the more poignant when reading the heartwarming story behind the image. I love that the image is candid and not posed, and I sense that this comes through in the smile's authenticity. The black-and-white treatment makes it feel like a still from a classic Hollywood western.

The beautiful light in this scene has been keenly observed and sensitively handled. The complexity of the composition is confident and accomplished, in particular the clever use of the wire in the foreground, which is out of focus and helps create a wonderful sense of depth.

I love this engaging and thought-provoking portrait's quietly spoken, contemplative vibe. The clever way the subject emerges out of the darkness of the background with her eyes closed reinforces the story. The flowery caption reinforces this, albeit with an Ai (ChatGPT?) groove.

Wow, what an intense use of vibrant red to pack a visual punch. I love the composition's simplicity, with the subject's central position in a sea of red. The harsh, contrasty light has been handled well, especially in the dress, where highlight detail could have been easily lost.

Shooting into the light (contre jour) is a beautiful way to add drama and create silhouettes. It can be a technical challenge, but the tricky lighting has been skillfully controlled in this instance. The low angle of view adds to the drama. Good work.

Looking for new and alternative points of view is a great way to invigorate creativity. This is evident in this engaging photo. The photographer has taken the time to scour the location, looking for refreshing angles. Good work, keep it up!

Another image in this round pushes the category boundaries to the edge. But I love this epic windswept vista with its subtle human presence battling the elements. The handling of the black-and-white conversion helps tell the story and adds to the drama. .

I love this minimalist compsotion that pushes the 'people' category concept to the edge, with the feet adding a mysterious human presence. Pictures that ask questions can more often than not be more successful than images that present 'answers'. This image provokes some delightful questions.

This intriguing image has a haunting, poetic and mysterious sense of narrative. The dark tonal palette has been skillfully handled and helps tell the 'story'. Even the subject's hair, partially obscuring their face, adds to the mysterious vibe. Good work.

What an epic photo, and what a wonderful way to celebrate the start of this couple's adventurous life together. I love the 'action' of the couple, too; so much more exciting than just standing in front of the vista. This is good work love it!

I love the fractured effect the camera movement has rendered. For me, it captures the frantic, transitory sensation of travelling, the fleeting impressions of faces you're unlikely to see again passing through stations, airports and so on, almost like a dream. I travel a lot, and this evokes the vibe perfectly.
