I love the way the colors blend so well together within the frame. Even the pop of red flowers don't feel out of place in this beautifully shot picture. We get to see the entire scene before our eyes as the man walking next to the path allows us to follow the route he is taking. It gives us a line of sight that really leads us into the picture. It's not easy to control and create a great formal photograph when you are walking behind a person. The photographer has shown great skill in making this picture. Well done.

This is such an ambiguous photograph. I'm not sure what the four men are actually doing and that makes this picture so intriguing. Are they praying? washing clothes or hands? Does it matter? it's a great picture. Wonderful tones across the entire frame, great exposure control and a tight formal composition really hold our gaze within the picture. Its very well seen and captured. Well done.

A wonderful moment captured perfectly. The sunglasses hide so much. Is the person asleep or just caught in one of those moments taking in the splendid scenery? The use of black and white and high contrast work well with the buildings in the frame against the soft tones on the face. The use of a wide angle lens means we get to see all the detail in sharp focus which allows our eye to easily go over the entire picture. A great image. Well done.

Such a great moment captured beautifully by the third and hidden photographer within the room. We get to see these two people photographing each other one with a mobile phone where we can see the image she is making against the person with the older traditional camera which we will never see what was captured.. The use of black and white gives that sense of nostalgia and the flash has been handled really well against a tricky white wall. The lovely framed print with the word Love just really sums up this picture. Lovely. Well done.

Stunning capture of a young girl. The shallow depth of field really draws all our attention onto the face, the expression and those incredible eyes and fingers. Totally lost and unaware a photograph is being made of her. This shows great skill by the photographer to be so close to the subject to still make such a fantastic candid portrait. The yellow flowers as a head dressing work so well with the burned out sun blurred in the background. A really hypnotic and stunning capture. Lovely and would make a perfect picture framed on a wall.

The composition of the two boys is wonderful and playful. The subtle use of color adds to the picture and feels natural within the setting of the subject. The branch which one boy is sat on leads our eye into the frame perfectly and then continues out of shot. It's a great capture showcasing wonderful split second timing. The subtle blurring of the corners works well as it leads our eye to the main areas of interest. Really well done.

A real sense of contemplation. The photographer has captured this wonderful elevated scene where we look down on the small boy wondering what he is thinking. It's a quiet photograph which gives us the audience time to look around within the frame. The boy positioned to the left of center works really well as do the buildings in the background. The use of black and white places the image within a documentary tradition which is perfect given the setting of Prague where some of the greatest photographers have originated from including Josef Koudleka. The light is lovely and the attention to detail is excellent, beautifully exposed and an all round classic candid street portrait. Really well done.

I love the subtle de-saturated colors within this picture. How the tones of the clothes and backpack work together with the trees and plants in the background. The subtle reds in the sign post just lift the entire scene without taking over the entire frame. It's a very clever picture. The lady looks one way against the sign reading 'one way' in the opposite direction just above her head.. It could be said that the composition should be different as the sign appears to be coming out from the head. For me it makes the picture. Lee Friedlander has done this all his photographic life and he is considered to be the ultimate. photographers photographer. Who am I to argue. Great picture.

This is a photograph that depicts pure happiness within a moment. The photographer has timed taking the picture to perfection, where we witness sheer joy on the faces of the people young and old whilst enjoying themselves on the beach. The true to life colors work well with pops of color coming from the clothes the people wear. The smog almost diffusing the skyline in the background adds a real sense of depth to the picture. A great capture that makes me smile when I look at this picture. Well done.

This is really about being in the moment. The photographer has captured such a special one off picture. The right amount of wind blowing the blossom across the entire frame. You could wait for years and not be able to repeat this unique image. The tight crop on the man and the blur of the blossom work so well as does the subtle pinks framing him perfectly. Great timing and a fantastic capture. Well done.

This is such an evocative photograph with a hint of menace from the man looking over the group perched below him. The exposure and details in the faces are very well controlled in difficult lighting conditions and the use of color gives a burst of vibrancy to the overall look and feel of the image. Great technique and stunning composition really adds strength to this compelling photograph. Well done. It reminds me of the Van Gogh painting The Potato Eaters.

The intensity of the mans stare straight back into camera is very powerful. So much so it takes me a while to leave him and look around the frame. The confined space gives a sense of claustrophobia and this is added to by the lady wearing the mask. The use of black and white works very well in this instance and the subtle tones are well controlled in a very difficult lighting condition in which to make images. Powerful and intense. Great capture.

Even though we know we are always close to someone on the transit this photographer has managed to capture a lovely quiet and peaceful moment of a person completely lost in their own world. The ability to make a candid picture without been seen shows the skill of the photographer in such a close confined space. The black and white allows us to focus without distraction of color or potential casts given the lights on the subject. This is a great example of a candid documentary portrait. Great image. Well done.

A classic silhouette beautifully composed and really well controlled technically to still get lots of detail in the highlights in the lake. The tree and branches perfectly frame the couple on the bench and the elevated camera position adds to the craft in the making of this image. Its a quiet picture that allows us to reflect whilst also admiring the view wondering what the couple are looking at and thinking. Great capture.

The quality of light on the face and the whites of the eyes illuminated make for a powerful tight cropped portrait. The attention to detail is very good and the subtle continuous tones across the frame are expertly controlled especially the detail in the skin tones. The stare is all about power and shows this person off in great dignity. It reminds me of the classic black and white portraits of the great photographer Sebastiao Salgado. Great image. Well done.
