This is a stunning photograph! The hard light and its associated shadows play to the marvellous structure of the composition. But it is the moment of quiet contemplation that's been so naturally recorded that makes this image shine. Good work!

Hands can be so expressive and telling, and I love that you've focused on them and made them the subject. Your tack-sharp focus and accomplished image processing have revealed a wonderful range of tones and textures. Good work, keep it up!

Another thoughtful and engaging portrait in this round. The overall composition works a treat, especially with the helmet's dominance, but the connection with the subject, as he takes a long drag on a cigarette, makes this a winner. Top-notch work. Keep it up!

This is a slick and stylish photo that oozes a cool vibe. The metropolitan backdrop sets the scene perfectly, especially with the subject's chic veneer—the black and white treatment has been skillfully controlled and adds to the overall mood. Good work!

The dominance of green packs a punch in this engaging scene. The yellow of the safety sign, the orange of the life ring and the protagonist's warm-hued head hold the composition together. The scene also sets the stage for a mysterious narrative.

The frame-within-the-frame composition works well here, adding depth to the vibrant street scene. I particularly like the use of the wing mirror in the foreground, which adds more complexity to the image's layers. The restrained handling of the colours is spot on.

Wow, this image is all about the colour and the artful way the photographer has harmonised the subject with the background through the red dress and berries. However, other clever techniques, such as skilful control of depth of field, make it stand out.

There is some very clever lighting in this image, yet it doesn't feel overdone. working with multiple lights and mixed lighting sources in a small non-studio location is challenging, but here, the result is slick and polished without distracting from the subject, Sam the Baker.

Clever use of long-exposure experimental techniques to realise your vision. They work well, especially with the "Duality of Self" image title. The title also suggests that it's a self-portrait, in which case the challenge must have been amplified, so kudos to you!

I love this image. The figure creates a wonderful relationship with the landscape. There is something magical about the encounter, echoed in the photo's title, Fairy Garden. The rock formation alone would have the potential to make an interesting landscape image, but the figure adds another whole level of narrative and mystery.

I love the sense of quiet, thoughtful contemplation in this image. The framing is lovely, using the elements in the foreground to create a frame within a frame, which helps develop a sense of intimacy in a 'stolen' moment. The mono tones work well, too.

There's a beautiful sense of peace and calm in this image. Perhaps it's the echo of smiles I can see between the camel and the camel herder. There's also a gentleness in the colour palette and tonality that exudes a sense of tranquillity.

This striking landscape's small but crucial human presence makes for an exciting image loaded with narrative and potential meanings. The figure on the horse, wearing red, balances perfectly with the blue hues of the sky and yellowing grass. Good work.
