I love the dream-like vibe this beautiful image exudes. The dappled light, typically avoided by portrait photographers, works a treat here, and just goes to prove it can be effective. The subject blends beautifully with foliage. The slight blur adds to the ethereal groove.

Wow, I see quite a few eye shots in this style being entered into competitions, but this has got to be one of the crispest and sharpest and perfectly exposed I have seen. It's not all that easy, so kudos to you!

I love the arrangement of the characters in this clever image. The more I look at the photo, the more I find it intriguing and compelling. It's loaded with nuance and narrative. While it might seem unconventional to show the back of heads rather than the front, in this instance, I feel it works extremely well. The background transition from green grass to the blackness of the night is excellent, too. Kudos.

Wow, I simply love the rich atmosphere the mixed orange and green light creates. The dark, silhouetted figures emerging out of the fog add to the narrative mysteriously and intriguingly. This is great work, keep it up, kudos to you!

The romance in this wonderful image oozes out of the frame. Rendering the subjects in near silhouette by shooting into the light was inspired. The shape between the lovers' profiles is perfect. The lovely warm hues from the sun add to the romantic groove.

A good character study in the tradition of 'classic' travel portraiture. The black and white technique has been skillfully controlled and teases out the rich details of the subject's face. I always think, if possible, it's good practice to include the subject's name in travel pictures; it adds to the human connection. Good work. Keep it up.

This is an excellent self-portrait. It's never easy taking pictures of yourself, especially in a studio situation like this, when critical focus is vital. Technical merits aside, it's also an engaging and thought-provoking work that reveals a sensitivity. Good work.

Your approach to photographing this prizefighter has created a strong and engaging portrait. There is a powerful energy from the pose, composition and lighting that all harmonise well together. I'd love to see this as part of a series. Can you make more?

Classic shot. I love it. Naturally, this is all about the pitch-perfect timing with the football playfully dominating the composition, but in such a way that we still see the star of the show. Love the gritty, grainy mono conversion too.

The use of space, line, form, tone and texture works well in this image, which feels mindfully considered and poetically refined. The three protagonists, in the shadow of a tree en route to the water, suggests an ambiguous narrative which I find compelling.

Skilled control of lighting to create this dramatic and moody shot loaded with atmosphere. The balance is perfect and you've artfully teased out the colours to harmonise the image. Perhaps the watermark is a little distracting. Do you need it? Top-notch work. Kudos to you.

The gritty, grainy, black-and-white treatment works extremely well in this creative and beautifully seen scene. The figure at the end of the alley creates a lovely focal point, which the eye is drawn to through the cunning use of line and shadows

What a great image, if this, as you mention, was taken at the beginning of your photographic journey, I'd love to see what you're up to now. I love the high-contrast lighting, which works extremely well with the black-and-white conversion.

The handling of the black and white tones has been skillfully controlled, adding drama. I find the Fujifilm frame with its associated technical information a distraction from the stunning image. While the data is interesting, it's not as interesting as your lovely image.
