Love the dynamic energy of this bold shot. Shooting into the light (contre-jour) is a challenge, but the low angle, the ripples on the water and the long shadow created by shooting toward the sun all bring this fun image together.

LLiterally an image of two halves. An inspired, bold and confident approach that works extremely well, dividing the frame diagonally to great effect. The range of tones and textures has been skilfully realised, while the subject’s quiet, contemplative gaze adds to the story.

Fabulous use of colour in this stunning image. I probably do not need to point out the inspired use of blue echoing around the frame, but it is beautifully observed and artfully rendered, especially with the tiny hint of red in the protagonist’s phone, which acts as a little accent. Marvellous!

Love the daring composition of this frame. The figure on the right is very close to the edge, which some may suggest is too close, but I love the tension it creates. Perhaps there is a metaphor here about humanity’s relationship with nature.

What an amazing image. It is great to read that this is part of a bigger project with a narrative element. Your use of symmetry to create a dynamic composition is stunning and works beautifully, along with the lighting and monochrome treatment. I look forward to seeing the finished project.

This is a powerful, thought-provoking image that speaks to the turbulent times we live in. It is a reminder that the world is in flux and that innocent people are being forced to leave their homes. The connection with the main subject is immediate and compelling.

Perfect timing and use of the decisive moment to capture this behind-the-scenes shot. The side lighting and composition give the image a documentary quality. The monochrome treatment is skilfully controlled and suits the subject perfectly. Good work, keep it up.

I love the sense that this is a genuine, authentic moment, artfully captured. The handling of the black-and-white tones and the framing of the subject are sublime. The two women, slightly out of focus, frame the subject at the edge of the image, while the bride’s hands form a second frame around her face.

Clever use of leading lines creates an engaging composition. The four figures on the right, walking away from the camera, form a lovely line, while the single, smaller figure on the left adds a cunningly good accent to the image. I also love the muted colour palette, which enhances the frosty vibe.

The sense of narrative at play in this thought-provoking image is excellent. The blurred figure, presumably from using a relatively slow shutter speed, has created a lovely, ghost-like effect. The overall composition is beautiful, but it is the story that makes it shine.

A cool and accomplished studio portrait. Expert control of the lighting has helped define the subject’s body, while his pose, looking down and away from the camera, adds a thought-provoking twist to the image. Strong skills on display. Kudos to you.

I love the melancholy vibe of this lone figure, knee-deep in the ocean. There is an existential quality that, for me, works beautifully, perhaps because the boy is positioned centrally in the frame, which accentuates this feeling. I also love the slight warmth in the monochrome tones.

Wow, the cool, cinematic groove in this scene is stunning. The composition, focus, point of view, lighting and, perhaps most of all, the colour grading combine to make this image ooze with movie magic. Great work, and keep it up!

Brilliant use of a shallow depth of field to blur the background and create separation between the subject and the cluttered foliage. Note that this was taken on an iPhone, so the effect is emulated rather than optical, but this does not detract from the loveliness of the image.
