I love the performative nature of this intriguing, thought-provoking image. The narrative feels deliberate, using metaphor to articulate a personal response to the world rather than a fixed message. The composition is striking, with diagonal lines working hard to create tension, direction and a sense of unease.
The bold, confident use of negative space works beautifully here, creating a strong sense of balance and harmony in the composition. The subject’s gentle smile feels natural and unforced, which is never easy to achieve. The monochrome tones are handled with care, adding subtle depth without distraction. Lovely work.
I love the humour in this engaging portrait. Those look like some serious scissors for nasal hair, definitely him rather than me. The relationship between the blue-framed mirror, the out-of-focus yellow sign and the concentration on the protagonist’s face is well observed and holds the composition together. Good work.
I love the way the colours bounce around the frame in this engaging image. I have wandered the streets of Bridgetown with a camera many times, and I am sure I have photographed that pink wall too. While I am usually wary of portraits made from a distance, without the subject’s awareness, this captures an authentic, unguarded moment.
This is a cracking silhouette shot, genuinely one of the strongest I have seen. The low angle of view works particularly well, giving the figure presence and authority. It is a shame the watermark disrupts the composition. I appreciate their role in protection and promotion, but here it detracts from an otherwise excellent image.

You’re right, this image works particularly well because the subject is looking out of the frame. The controlled studio lighting and the carefully positioned jacket and watch give it a clear editorial fashion feel, almost like an advertisement. It is good to see you collaborating with former classmates too, keeping skills sharp and, more importantly, maintaining old connections and friendships.
