A very powerful image - the portrayal of the children makes the viewer wonder if they are part of the nightmare or running away from the nightmare. The raw emotion of the girl on the right is well captured. I like the colour scheme used and fact that the red shoes remain pronounced. And just what is lurking in the background?!
This photo really challenges the viewer - in a good way! Certainly very surreal. Like almost UV effect. I like photos that encourage the viewer to come up with their own story as to what is happening - what is this man doing? What does he have planned for me? Captures the theme very well. Love to hear more about how this was taken!
Simplicity combined with creativity works! A fantastic composition and definitely a nightmare! I like the way you've completely blanked the background so as not to distract, and one cannot help but be pulled in towards the subject - especially as there are some very subtle leading lines towards him / it in the woodwork. You've managed to get the exposure / effect just right to leave enough detail in the wood and shirt. Plus the use of an edge effect compliments the photo. Congratulations!

The photographer has submitted a series of fantastic photos on a similar theme - and I've picked this one for my top ten as it directly reflects the nightmarish feeling of being crushed or unable to escape. Some interesting use of post process effects - the only thing I might want to look at is the effect on the heel and the sole by the right hand. Great effort!

I like the way that you have attempted to portray the victim of a nightmare rather than the nightmare itself. For a first attempt at creating this mood, it's very good! Rotating the image 180 degrees adds to the unsettling effect. Skin detail on the hand is fantastic. It looks like you used a very shallow depth of field; perhaps it might be worth trying a bit more in focus? Well done though!
