This picture caught my eye, as the branches on the tree are almost acting as a conductor of a symphony, directing and keeping the stars in tempo and shaping the performance. the tones in the image work well and there is just enough light hitting the tree to reveal textures and detail. The overall composition of the image is strong with the tree trunk taking the eye on a journey to the branches and up into the stars.
This image pulls the viewer right in and has some beautiful elements. The amount of light captured throughout allows the viewer to enjoy all the textures and shapes that exist in the ground based elements. The tree tells a story of the wind and weather it has endured and the building has stood the test of time. The spinning stars drag my eye upwards once I have enjoyed the aforementioned, and all the elements sit well in the frame. The distraction free background allows the building to be isolated shrouded by the sky and stars.
What a beautiful image. The green and blue hues dancing around creating a real treat for the viewer. The composition is lovely and the position of the lake and the low horizon in the frame balances out the aurora in the sky. the subtle green hues reflecting on the snow and water ties all the image together and it is a joy to look at. A well controlled exposure and good execution of capturing the feeling of what it must have been like when the photographer took the image.
