Objects and their Shadows

Congratulations for coming 1st place. I love this image. I think both the vase and the shadow are so prominent in the photograph and your eyes really dont know which to look at. All the arch shapes in the image all work so well too. You have the arch of the wall, the window and the vase itself. And as the image shows the shadows of all of these, tou get extra arches too, it is all so pleasing to the eye. Well done on a great image.

Congratulations on being in my top 10. This photograph is so eerily wonderful. I love that shadow. It really looks like a giant haunting figure stood in the night. I love the feeling of quiet in the image. Feels like there is no one else around. I also like that you have taken the photograph from low down, I think it makes the statue and the shadow look bigger. Congratulations on getting into my top 10. I think the thing I love the most about this image is how much the shadow stands out. The lamp is only small but then the shadow brings your eye to the lamp making you notice it. There is also beautiful black and white contrast in this image too. Well done.

Congratulations on 2nd place. This image is so simplistic but works so well. Just A simple object leaning against a wall, but it creates such a wonderful shadow that creates dimention to the image. Well done for a wonderful image.

Congratulations for being in my top 10. This chair creates such a wonderful shadow. I like the black and white contrast between the chair and the shadow. One being so white, and one so black. I also like that you have shot this at a diagonal composition. It works really well. Well done.
