Objects with Simple Beauty

This is a great, simple black and white image. I love the way half is dark and eerie with the simple shape of the watering can hanging down along with the lighter side and the plant life. It all is pin sharp and works really well. A very worthy winner. Congratulations.

This is a very strong image. The barbed wire entwined with razor wire in silhouette and pure black against such a powerful orange tone works so simply it is wonderful. For me some images that are really simple can lack impact yet you have added an amazingly huge impact without adding to the image in any way and kept it on brief. So very well done.

This is an amazingly simple image. The shapes line up 100% spot on. The image is pin sharp throughout too. The colours and tones being simple pastel shades have created a mellow calm feeling to the image which for me is what has made its simplicity work along with the strong lines. The pallet of the colours in this image are peaceful and though appear to be in black and white aren't as the bush on the right is green. For me they are a blue/grey tone. The lines, shapes, tones and contrast are not only simple but blend really smoothly too. The brolly/parasol is pin sharp along with the rest of the image too. A great entry, well done.

Many would overlook a discarded bottle in the water as they wouldn't see it or would ignore it and go on by saying how it's an eyesore. You have captured an image which for me is simple but effective. Having the reflection in the water brings the image together really well. The colours blend amazingly and simply together. This image is so funny. Some will say this isn't an object with simple beauty, but for me it is due to the sunglasses. The bird looking in them adds to the simplicity for me. The colours are nice and simple. The image is also 100% pin sharp. Well done.
