Opposites and contradictions come in many forms. In photography, they can be anything from combining contrasting colours to mixing seemingly opposing themes and tropes. Taking things that don't usually go together and forcing them into the same shot doesn't always result in disaster. In fact, visual contrast can be beautiful, and is something we all encounter every day.
