Trompe L'oeil is the widely accepted term used to describe the art of illusion. The French phrase simply means ‘deceives the eye’ or 'trick of the eye' and it is used to describe paintings that create the optical illusion of depth and real objects or scenes on walls or pavements, or in places on the streets where the real object or scene does not really exist. The artist's skill is intended to deceive the eye. The technique can become visually challenging or humorous, or simply decorative, when it is used by some of the world’s best street artists. I know there are some great examples out there so the brief for this contest is quite simple: Submit your images of street art which uses optical illusion and show the context or environment where the art work was created. No composites please, this contest is all about shot selection. Still not sure about the brief? This link should help ... https://www.creativebloq.com/art/trompe-loeil-12121498
Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submissions period has ended. You can see all the images uploaded to a contest, but will need to rate them to see how they’re ranked once the rating period begins.
Some contests on Photocrowd also have a judge. After the submission period closes the judge chooses their favourite images and writes some image reviews. The crowd and judge results will be announced on the same day.
