Ospreys (in colour)

It was very difficult to choose first place with so many wonderful images of the ospreys. This image though was truly a stand out. I love the energy and drama of this capture. It really emphasis the magnificence of the bird.. Both the focal intensity of the ospreys glare and the dynamic of the spray of water exploding around It is very masterly captured.. The technical aspects are just perfect with the exposure, detail and sharpness spot on. A very inspirational photograph. Thank you so much for sharing this image in this contest.

This is an exceptional photograph. The soft background really amplifies the detail of the osprey .and brings out the three- dimensionality of the bird. Beautiful composition, Terrific detail on the fish.The photo really shows the strength and determination of the osprey carrying his huge catch.

Exceptional unique capture. I love the artistic quality of this photograph The Osprey is in such a elegant and graceful position..The image of the outstretched wings and their crisp and clear refelection in the water is really adding to the tranquil tone of the photograph. This is such a powerful image. It really brings emotion to mind of what a fierce predator the ospreys are. Clarity, sharpness, exposure and composition are just great. Another of my favorites ,I thought this just a restive, elegant photograph of the osprey perching. Such an artistic capture. The bokeh with its horizontal pastel tones really adds to the calmative tone of the photo. The composition of the photograph and sharpness of the osprey is perfect. A dazzling capture. The shape of the bird and fish really adds to the sense of movement, agility and forceful ability of the osprey.. The soft colors with vertical lines of the reeds in the background really brings an artistic tone to the photograph.
