Any one of these top ten images could be number one depending on my mood and the time of day I look at them. I do like the colours and tones of this owl. We have movement in the wing that give the feel of speed in take off. Again flash looks like it has been used with background dark but with detail to so the birds outside in the open. Magic work well done.
The Great grey Owl has a magic face. The eyes take you to the bird and it hard to see what the bird is doing. There nice movement in the wings to show the bird airborne. There are bright areas in the sky area but I do not think that distracts from the owl. The feather patters are very clear with the owl angle in the image give the image a new direction . Well done.
A great image but the moon give atmosphere. I think moon too big to be real but it does work in the image. Again we have beautiful detail in the owl. The sharp area are where you need the areas to be sharp and clear. There a nice detail in far win with back light to show the detail of feather patterns. top class work.
I do not know this type of owl. Please can you add it to info later. I love the eyes They hold you and bring you back to the centre of the image. Flash was used again but no detail behind the bird so the image is all about the eyes feathers. The movement in wing tips do help blend the bird with the background which I think a bonus. Well done
I wanted this image up the top in my top 10. The colours of the barn owl have a true feel and back lit left wing works so well in that clue sky. The owl has seen you and it might be a malty shutter clicks the owl has herd that has taken his attention towards your camera. The right eye has a high light that is a bonus. Great work well done
Any one of these top ten images could be number one depending on my mood and the time of day I look at them. This has a flash to bring out the bird. The background looks like it been darken as there is blue sky's. I do not mind this as it give the bird a pop of detail and nice eye catchment highlights. Well done.
