Panning

Take a look at the <a href="https://www.photocrowd.com/leaderboard/">leaderboard</a> for more information on Photocrowd rankings.** Panning is a technique where the photographer follows a moving subject with their camera as they take the photo, resulting in a relatively sharp object against a blurry background. This method is especially effective when capturing a typically speedy object such as a car or a running dog, as it gives the shot a palpable sense of movement.
