In my opinion, this photo is lacking just slightly in its overall composition. If this photo is a cropped version of a larger file, it might be beneficial to include a large portion of the background to make it just a bit easier to immerse yourself in the photo. It definitely has an undeniable energy that was reciprocated in the people's faces. I do think that, at least for this prompt, it's possible that the focus on color slightly takes away from the emotion in the picture. However, this is still an impeccable image. When I was going through the entries for this contest, I came across a lot of photos that evoked positive and rather happy emotions; then I came across this one and my jaw dropped. This is such a striking and power image, one that can tell a story without even saying a word. I am sure that the intention was to keep the image unedited and in a more raw form. However, it could be interesting to see this same photo in black and white with a slight vignette, or something along the lines of that experimentation? Overall, amazing job! I think this image is extremely powerful and I commend you for sticking up for such a cause. I do think, from a technical stance, that the image could have benefited from a slightly larger aperture, just because I personally think that a more detailed background which includes more people would just add to the overall mood and wouldn't take away from the main person in focus. I think that it definitely poses a powerful statement in the times that we live in today where peace tends to be short-lived. I do think that a tad bit more time in Photoshop or another photo editor could help this photo pop even more but overall I enjoyed the rather simplistic black and white edit!
