People Wearing a Black Dress (in colour)

Congratulations on 1st place in my competition. This is such a simple but yet striking image with a brilliant composition. I love the depth of field, making the foreground out of focus as well as the background, and also the use of leading lines which lead your eye right to the model. Her pose is also beautiful, and the gap between her arm and back creates a lovely shape. Well done.

Congratulations for being in my Top Ten. I love the location of this image, the run-down building and rubbish really adds to the image and makes it an interesting fashion image. I think you have got the shot of her walking perfectly. You can end up with some really funny-looking legs when someone is walking, but I think her feet are in the perfect place. I am also glad that you avoided the post coming out of her head. Well Done.

Congratulations on 2nd place in my competition. I love how you have set the model on the steps and decided to drape the dress down the side. The bottom of the dress almost replicates the steps, which pleases the eye. I like the use of colours too, the creamy brown background makes the black of the dress stand out nicely. Well done.

Congratulations on 3rd place in my competition. As soon as I saw this image I loved it. I love the creativity of having the model partly hidden and the shadow is just in the right place so then it does not cover her eye. I also love the warmth of the image. Well done.

Congratulations for Top 10. There wasn't many images in studio and even less with a black background. So well done for having the use of a black backdrop. It is tricky shooting black on black as you can lose the details of the dress, but you haven't lost the detail at all, which is brilliant. Overall a beautiful image of a girl in a black dress. Well done.
