People with their Faces Partially Obscured

As soon as I saw this image it went straight into my Highly commended, and then from there into my top 10. The tones in this photograph are just amazing and the detail of the chainmail really stands out. Your use of depth of field also helps the portrait really pop. Well done for getting into my top 10.

This is a lovely portrait. I love that even though her mouth is covered, you can tell that she is still smiling by her eyes. Also the red really stands out against the cold whites. I am also glad that you got moving snow as well as still snow in this photograph. Well done for getting into my top 10.

This is such a beautiful capture. It shows a real moment and as far as documentary portraits go, this one was a moment that definitely had to be documented. It is also such beautiful lighting and looks great in black and white. It fits the brief perfectly without it being overly obvious. Well done for 1st Place.

Well done for getting in my top 10. I love the out of the box idea of covering the face with the purple bandages. I also love the depth of field making her body out of focus meaning you really focus on the face. Her eye contact you have got in this photo also works really well.
