People's Skin Wrinkles

Congratulations for 1st place. This was easily a winner for me. The wrinkles just show the age and also life of this person. Something about her eyes tells me she may have had a hard life and I bet she has stories to tell. The blue scarf over her hair really stands out and compliments her blue eyes. I think it also brings attention to her lips which are no longer red and more blue. Well done on a great portrait.

Congratulations on coming in my top 10. The lighting for this photograph has really made each and every wrinkle show up in this photo. I love the highlights and shadows and also the placement of the hands. Hands can sometimes look so awkward in photographs but here they look so natural. Well done.

Congratulations for top 10. This photographs has so much emotion to it for a photograph of only a hand. So many stories could be read into this, but I love the connection between the hand being of old age, and the photograph being of old memories. Wonderful image! Well done.

Congratulations on 2nd place. I love the juxtaposition in this photographs. the wrinkles of the grandma and the smooth skin of her grandchild in her arms. I love her expression, it really helps bring out how many wrinkles she has on her face. Also having grandma in the centre of the frame really brings your attention to her. Well done!

Congratulations for making my top 10. The thing that stood out for me in this photo, was the expression on the mans face. He looks lonely, and sad. I think the thing with wrinkles is that every one of them tells a story, and so the expression and the amount of forehead lines makes me wonder what his life has been like. Also makes me wonder what he may be thinking at the time the photo has been taken. There are also some beautiful black and white tones in this image. Well done.
