Perfect portraits

There is much to like about this shot. It has emotion, an interesting subject and is well composed. The only thing missing was a bit more interesting lighting to bring out some textures and contrasts. But a very good attempt.

Beautifully composed, expertly lit and captured to perfection. A truly outstanding photo that rightly deserves to be in the top 3. But what makes this photo special for me is the moment that it was captured. Deep in thought, you can't help but be mesmerized by this photo.

A really simple composition that is beautifully constructed. Here is a perfect example of everything working in harmony. in a photograph From the colours to even the expression on their faces, the photographer couldn't have done any more. A great photo.

I love this shot. From the steely stare to the conditions, I found myself constantly coming back to it. You can't help but get drawn into the man's eyes and I get cold just looking at it. I also love the treatment of the photo with the muted colours. All in all, a fantastic photo and a worthy winner.

A truly wonderful photo that captures a moment that tells the entire story. The various elements in the photo help the viewer navigate around the image and the whole scene is so beautifully lit that you feel like you are there in person watching this man work.
