Amateur Photographer magazine, in partnership with Sigma and Photocrowd, is inviting amateur* photographers from around the world to enter its annual photographic competition.
Read or subscribe to Amateur Photographer magazine? Get one FREE entry to each round by using the codes in each magazine published throughout the competition – you will need a new code for each round. Good luck!
It’s important to enter as many rounds as possible as only the top-scoring image from each round will be counted towards your overall score.
The overall winner will be awarded the coveted title ‘Amateur Photographer of the Year 2020’, and Sigma equipment of their choosing worth £2,000. The expert judged winner of each round (as voted by the AP team of experts) will win Sigma equipment of their choice, up to a value of £1,000 (based on Sigma’s RRP) and the crowd vote winner of each round will win a one-year digital subscription to the magazine and a one year Master subscription to Photocrowd.
Amateur Photographer is the world’s oldest consumer weekly photographic magazine, first published in October 1884. Since then, AP (as it is affectionately known to its readers) has been the bible for both amateur and professional photo-enthusiasts around the world. It has helped generations of photographers to improve their skills.
Look out for AP in your newsagent on sale EVERY week, so it’s always the first with the latest news and reviews on cameras and equipment as well as the largest and most up-to-date marketplace for buyers and sellers.
Amateur Photographer magazine is also available in digital format, for your iPad or mobile device: in iTunes, Kindle, Nook, Google Play and Zinio.
*In this instance, the definition ‘amateur’ refers to a person who earns 10% or less of their annual income from photography or photographic services.
SIGMA’s mission is to provide exceptional products at an affordable price and are again offering a wonderful array of prizes to the winners of this year's Amateur Photographer of the Year competition.
