1. Do not enter images that have previously won or are currently shortlisted for any other Photographic Award/competition

Basics; The Six C's
六项基本注意点：

1.Before you begin: Clean your lens

2. Composition : this is the one C that rules them all.
Get the composition right and you can learn the technicalities. Try to compose as closely as possible to your desired image.

3. Cropping : Phone cameras don't give the precision you have with inter changeable lenses. You may have to crop to achieve your vision

4. Contrast : Extreme Inside /outside shots can register as bleached out exteriors with blacked out interior.

5.Colour balance : warm up or cool down an image for your preferred ambience.

6. Copyright : Don't lose your work.
It is very easy for names to be separated from images and watermarked signatures accidentally cropped out. You must enter your name in the copyright field of the Metadata.
If you usually shoot on an SLR you will have the facility to automatically enter your name in the metadata of every frame. If you haven't - do it now.

Note: Snapseed is excellent for making photographic adjustments, but it does not allow you access to metadata to add copyright details.

These are guidelines to help you with your photography, they are preferred but not essential

Images should be saved as jpegs at the highest quality available, with a colour profile attached. Either the RGB or sRGB colour profiles are recommended. Digital scans from film are also eligible providing they meet these technical guidelines.

Whilst no image sizes will be rejected at upload, winning images will be required to be printed, and so must be of sufficient quality to allow this. It is therefore advised that images measure a minimum of 2,500 pixels on the shortest side after any cropping. Where images submitted are smaller than this, it will be assumed that this is the largest image size available to the photographer and may affect that image’s chances of winning. The submission of larger file sizes is encouraged if available. There are Photoshop and other image software tutorials online that show you how to best resize an image.

Manipulation of images using software or other techniques in the Global SinoPhoto Awards, must not be excessive and all imagery must be the exclusive work of the submitting photographer and must not include any element that is the copyright of another.
You must not change the fundamental integrity of the image. All images must be authentic and not fake
不得过度使用软件或其他技术处理参赛照片，所有照片必须是参赛摄影师的专有作品，不得包含任何属于他人版权的元素。

Excessive sharpening, noise reduction and colour saturation techniques should be avoided. We appreciate that entrants will attempt to prepare their entries to optimise appearance and appeal on screen, and this may include these techniques. Excessive use of any or all of them can result in an entry that will be unsuitable for printed media and therefore become invalid as a result.

We strongly encourage photographers to include a description about their work during the upload process. For example: In the Architecture & Heritage category: the name of the building, the style or date, the location and the architect who designed the building. This is a great way to tell a story or other interesting facts about your image that will be of strong interest to the judges. The judges and the crowd will be able to read this while rating to give them insight into how you came about the shot.
我们强烈建议各位摄影师在上传作品时添加一段对作品的描述性文字。例如：文化遗产篇里的作品可以加上：建筑名称、风格或日期、位置和建筑设计师。这些描述可以更好地讲述作品的故事或其它相关有趣的内容，使评委产生强烈兴趣。评委和观众在点评参赛作品时会读到这些描述，从而了解照片拍摄历程。

You’re encouraged to include the following information in the IPTC metadata fields of the image file/s, which will protect yourself and your intellectual property. You can do this by opening your image in Photoshop and clicking on 'file info' to enter essential information.

Please complete the following IPTC metadata fields in each of your entries:

In the Description field, the name of the category, a full description of your image and, depending on the category, the location i.e. town/ country, event - eg: sister’s wedding, meeting at Toronto airport
