This is such a delicate yet vibrant interpretation of pink - and it caught my eye straight away. The use of negative space works so well, and the gradient from stronger pink into softer tones feels very intentional. I also love that even though I know this is a flower it hold an air of abstract art to it.
This is such a striking and energetic use of pink lighting. The photographer has clearly controlled both timing and the colour of the lighting really well to freeze this moment, as the water balloon pops. The detail in the particles gives it a lot of texture and depth. The mix of pinks with the cooler tones adds contrast and keeps it visually interesting.

Pink, a colour that we load our gardens with, that is marketed endlessly at young girls, and that can range from the softest and most delicate hues, to bright, bawdy fuschias that belong on a Barbie doll.
