Thanks for submitting this image which stood out for me - there were a lot of flamingos! I felt this was a different and creative representation of what is clearly a flamingo despite the not obvious legs or head. I appreciate the texture and tones and the dark background. The painterly feel is beautiful. Congratulations on second place!
Thank you for submitting this beautiful image which made my eye linger. Lots of space has been given to the strikingly coloured sky with the small bird detail, then the focus allows us to appreciate the rich detail of the architecture below, finally the story-rich foreground gives us personality. I love the separation of almost all of the figures as well as the combination of humans, animals and birds again. There's a lot to appreciate in this photograph - congratulations on first place!

Thank you for submitting this image which made me smile as an unapologetically literal interpretation/representation of the colour pink. Technically, I appreciate the lighting, focus and the smooth background. I particularly appreciate how the crumpling brings in a lot of tone as well as texture. Overall, I simply appreciate how very pink it is! Congratulations on third place!

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 1 and 250 in this week’s Leaderboard.** Pink, a colour that we load our gardens with, that is marketed endlessly at young girls, and that can range from the softest and most delicate hues, to bright, bawdy fuschias that belong on a Barbie doll.
