Plants in Macro

I very much like the contrast in this image, with the white background which has an interesting bokeh. The colours of the leaves and how one is red/orange while the other is green/yellow is great, very aesthetically pleasing! Not to mention the crystallisation of the snow around the leaf borders and the indents and holes within the leaves. Well done for spotting this, good eye!

What a great example of a plant in macro! Such a clear image and excellent use of focus stacking. I can tell the image was well thought-out and the colours are beautiful. The detail is perfect and the shallow depth of field really allows the subject stand out, even amongst all the other photos!

A very interesting image here, with the colour gradient and texture of the leaf, making it look both translucent/glowing and almost as if it has been painted with careful brush strokes. I like how the spine is slightly off-centred which really brings out the abstractness of the photo.

What a perfect capture of a plant and raindrop. The shallow depth of field really allows you to be drawn into the subject, and the way the plant curls around and encases the drop gives the photo a lot of character. It's not easy to spot the smaller things and to be able to create a great photograph and so this image definitely stood out to me!

There's a lot of great things to say about this photo. What stood out to me most was the lighting and contrast of shades within this image. The way the plant seems to unfurl really brings this capture to life and the plant itself is stunning. Well photographed!
