Brief

Perspective is important – a perspective is a certain way of considering something, whether it’s a political viewpoint or just simply the way that you look at an object or scene. In photography perspective refers to the relationship between the objects within the frame – primarily their position, size and spacing. Learning how perspective affects the elements in an image is one of the most important things for photographers to master.

The human brain will determine the scale and depth of the objects in an image by determining their relationship to each other – so photographers use perspective to demonstrate the depth and sense of scale in a scene or to distort and emphasise it.

Change your perspective and capture something from a new angle, shoot with a different lens and create abstract scenes by harnessing the power of distortion, or simply just take a new approach. We want to see you play with the perspective in your imagery and submit the best results for the chance

How it works

Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submissions period has ended. You can see all the images uploaded to a contest, but will need to rate them to see how they’re ranked once the rating period begins.

Some contests on Photocrowd also have a judge. After the submission period closes the judge chooses their favourite images and writes some image reviews. The crowd and judge results will be announced on the same day.
