This shot jumped out at me when reviewing the images so just had to be my first place. Wonderful golden tones (perfect time of year) and the river draws you into the image and the focal point of the higher falls in the background. I suspect it would very easy to be drawn to that waterfall when you're there, but the fact you've taken the shot downstream adds a great deal of depth. The movement in the water is gorgeous and the exposure is spot on, with plenty of brightness in the white water but still retain the details.

Loved this image - so quintessentially english and the crisp detail in the sheep is wonderful. For my taste though, this missed out on my top ten as it's not sharp into the distance. I'm sure that's deliberate, but I really wanted to explore the detail in the landscape, and it was a shame that I couldn't on this occasion. Otherwise a fabulous image.

Not every landscape shot is horizontal. Sometimes a vertical orientation captures height and scale much better. Let's see your best Portrait-orientation Landscape shots...

Wonderful composition and the mist creates some great negative space. You've got some great conditions too, as despite the mist the light is still golden and picking out detail in the grasses. Just feels slightly soft as it falls into the background.

A brilliantly simple image with great leading lines in the lime stone pavement, taking you straight to the tree, which is bang in the horizontal centre of the frame. Having the horizon high in the image works too, as it makes the most of the very interesting foreground

This has it all for me - great light, wonderful leading lines with the path clouds and lake. Missed out on the top spot just because the railing feels a little awkward to me - but only a minor niggle as I had to choose between such brilliant images
