Simply beautiful. Such an expertly wrought image, great timing, framing, light and story telling. The subject and scene work together in an intimate way, and the landscspe's elevation within the scene from the photographer's point of view gives a lovely sense of perspective. I've seen many awesome images in this competition, but when I saw this one I just said 'wow'....'Get in there!' What a stunning image this is. The shaggy dog looks epic standing in the scene, and his expression speaks volumes. The scene is expertly rendered, great use of your aperture, wonderful lighting and awesome sky. This is a masterpiece. Very well done indeed!

The countryside offers us so much variety and the scope to try out new ideas and techniques. Portrait photography is often about story telling, emotion, and physical expression. In this contest I'd like to see both genres combined - portrait photography within the countryside. Please only submit images of people in a countryside scene - no images of people indoors or in a village, town, city, or urban/city parks. Please only submit single frame images - no composite images, as this would count as cheating. Good luck.
