Childhood can seem to pass in the blink of an eye, in particular for busy parents, and quality portraits of children are a magical way to memorialise these always-changing moments in the child’s journey. Children at different ages present different challenges for the portrait photographer, and patience is a virtue, but when it works it’s a joyful genre of photography. If the subjects are your own children, strive even harder for excellence in your photography, as your natural feelings may influence you to think more highly of your images than they strictly warrant!
