‘Portraits’ is the second in a special series of three contests we're running with Alamy, the world’s largest stock photo agency. With exciting prizes from B+H and huge potential exposure from Alamy and Digital Camera magazine to be won, show us your most distinctive and powerful portrait photography - the pictures of people that will stand the test of time.
Winning images from both the expert and crowd votes will receive $100 worth of B+H vouchers, will be printed in Digital Camera's Hot shots feature pages and will be offered a 12 month, 100% commission contract for new images on Alamy.
Runners-up will receive a copy of Gregory Heisler: 50 portraits by Gregory Heisler.
Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submissions period has ended. You can see all the images uploaded to a contest, but will need to rate them to see how they’re ranked once the rating period begins.
Some contests on Photocrowd also have a judge. After the submission period closes the judge chooses their favourite images and writes some image reviews. The crowd and judge results will be announced on the same day.
