Predator and Prey

I must say here I went a lot with emotion, being the dolphin one of my favorite animals. The framing is very tight, and we are brought really near to the action and get to see lots of details. I also like the dynamism given by the curves created by the fish, the open mouth of the dolphin and the water splashes. Congratulations on top 10, very nicely done!

This image speaks of power and energy. There is not only the predator and it's prey but also the contrast over the new kill, which brings us back to hierarchy but also survival instinct, especially in extreme conditions. You caught a really spectacular moment! Congratulations on top 10 and very well done!

This scene is really powerful. The dead prey at the "feet" of the predator, it's head slightly tilted towards us, we feel all the compassion and still we also feel all the pride of the winner. The feathers flying in the air just above and around are also a nice touch! Congratulations and nicely done!

The action in this picture is amazing! I really like how you froze the action and still you can feel the power of it. The blur only in the wings looks perfect. Fish and bird are both in focus, the splashes from the water tell me you managed to get just the perfect moment, and the background is a nice complement to it all. Very well done!

The apparent simplicity of this image is what caught my eye. A simple, small bird, one you could see in your garden. Oh but they are so difficult to catch in flight and with such detail! The eye is in perfect focus, the head steady, in the wings just the slightest motion blur to give the image dynamism. You were also lucky to have a nice creamy background with no distractions. Congratulations on your catch and on 1st place!

I really want to congratulate you on this image. Ants are so difficult to photograph, always in motion, so small. And yet you were able to capture this really cool scene! I also like the creamy background and the soft colors. The composition is, in my opinion, just perfect. Nothing to distract you from the action. So well deserved 2nd place, well done!
