What an exciting, unique moment. To me, it feels like a modern day film noir scene. It could be straight from a movie or tv show.
Although the jacket and the background are dark, the natural contrasts still work thanks to the great light. The hoodie really pops out and serves as an eye catcher.
The rain is beautifully lit up and almost creates some sort of starry universe around the subject. Wonderful job on this outstanding black and white shot.
Although there are so many different subjects and elements in this photo, they all create one big, impressive layer. You can either admire the moment as a whole or go through the dozens of subjects. Besides that, the colours fill the frame with so much positivity and life.
The only way to make this photo even cooler is if it had one striking subject looking up. But even without this one tiny cherry on the top of the cake, it's still an incredibly delicious cake!
For me what makes this moment so special is a mix of the beautiful black and white post processing, the minimalist reduction, the leading lines through the trees and the walkway, the subject in the distance and the gorgeous natural light.
Isn't it awesome how you flow from the bottom to the top of the photo mainly due to the great contrasts and leading lines?
This photo could just as well be from a 1950s crime movie about a private detective.
Another killer example and execution of natural contrasts. It doesn't get better than this when it comes to that. The subject really comes out of the photo, although it's in the middle- to background of the frame. Positioning the subject in the top left really works well and makes the shot even more interesting.
So beautiful to see how all the tiny rain drops are hitting the ground and how the water is flowing down to the left. Such a vivid moment!
Yes, this photo is certainly highly saturated, but on very rare occasions it works - and this is one of them.
To be honest, it reminds me more of a painting than a photograph. I'm always fascinated by the strong contrast between warm and cold colour temperatures, and that's exactly what you get in this shot. The cool clouds and the water are separated by the sunset in the background.
Furthermore, the rain on the left mixes the two temperatures to a third one. That really adds to the shot!
Such a harmonic moment. It's so zen in a way. It feels like time froze for a moment even without the photo. Although there are slightly distracting elements in the background, the see-through umbrella covered in rain with the beautiful woman under it just makes up for a great subject.
In addition, the composition really underlines the key elements in the photo.
The black and white also works great. It reduces everything to its essence and brings out what's really important.
What a gorgeous study of elements this shot is. It mainly has 3 crucial areas. The bottom, the middle and the top. The dark bottom creates an intense contrast to the flowing middle and the deep dark top. It just looks stunning how the rain falls and flows through the center of the photo.
The shot doesn't even need a boat or a subject. It stands out, because all the emptiness is filled with different tones and structures. So interesting!
I love the minimalism in this moment. It's so reduced to the absolute essence of what's going on. You don't see anything else besides the four connected subjects. The rest is filled with water. There is nothing in the photo that doesn't belong there. Great job!
While the positive space is certainly filled with interesting subjects, the negative space is exciting as well. You simply look at the tiny waves in the water, the rain drops and all sorts of different structures. Mesmerising!

This photo is the perfect example and execution of natural contrasts. It's the Yin and Yang of photography. The light and dark parts of a photograph always have to be in harmony and bring out the subject. Look how great this concept works in this shot.
The man is perfectly positioned on the right of the frame holding his umbrella while he seems to be looking over to what appears to be the wide sea in the background. Super cool!
Well spotted! I really love umbrellas. I don't know what it is about them, but they are just beautiful in a rainy shot. These two look so nice!
I don't think the right side of the photo really contributes a lot to the shot. This shot would be even better if there was only the girl on the left and the traffic in the background. Maybe you can even crop it like that. The traffic is very dynamic while she adds tranquility.

The natural contrasts in this one are really great. The rainy atmosphere in the background, the puddle in the foreground, the reflection - awesome!
The man/boy really stands out in this scene. However, the group of people on the right creates too much of a distraction on a visual level as well as when it comes to storytelling.
I also think that this shot would've worked better in black and white, because it would've made the atmosphere more cinematic.
A very cool shot with even bigger potential. Although I love colours and I generally prefer them over black and white, I think this shot would work very well in black and white. The very mild tone you have in it doesn't really add anything to the vibe of the moment. If you turn it into black and white, you are not distracted at all by the colours and you simply look for structures and silhouettes.
It's definitely worth a try!
What a stunning scenery! This shot is only a little bit away from becoming really cool. If you had framed the person with the red jacket in front of the bright sky on the right instead of the mountain, the natural contrasts would've been perfect. Right now, the person doesn't really pop out.
Another thing I would've done in post is to make the grey sky a little brighter and highlight the shadows in the shot. Give it a try, it will look cool!
Great moment! The leading lines in this one are very strong. Just look at the lamp posts how they flow into the background. Very interesting to see.
The issue in this shot is that you have two subjects. The eye wanders between the two. That is generally not a problem, but they don't really relate to each other.
Although the colourful jogger works very well as an element, I think this shot would've worked great with the subject in the background. Look at the beautiful natural contrasts!
