This contest is open to subscribers (members on the Challenger, Pro and Master subscription tiers). However if you're not a paying subscriber you can still purchase entries for £2 (GBP) per image.
Rainbows are a natural phenomenon that are hard to predict, so having the right equipment on you at the right time isn’t always a given. However, there are situations (such as after a rainstorm, or near a fountain or waterfall on a sunny day) when you’ll have a much better chance of finding one. Since rainbows aren’t a solid object, you’re going to want to photograph them against a background that’s as uncluttered as possible!

Prize details
The crowd's winner and the expert judge choice will both receive $50 store credit at Rocky Nook - one of the world's leading book publishers specialising in photography.
How it works
Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submissions period has ended. You can see all the images uploaded to a contest, but will need to rate them to see how they’re ranked once the rating period begins.
Some contests on Photocrowd also have a judge. After the submission period closes the judge chooses their favourite images and writes some image reviews. The crowd and judge results will be announced on the same day.
