I keep coming back to this photo and there have been some brilliant shots all round. What I like about this is that we see so much detail, the black and white enhances the age and feeling of the photo. The infantryman in the foreground and the tank moving forward into battle - It could have been taken in WW2 - There is so much kit on show here, the tank, weaponry, basic kit, a hint of insignia on the left arm and a real feeling of movement and atmosphere. I said the devil was in the detail and this has it all going on - congratulations - Tarquin Shaw-Young FEAA

I absolutely love this shot - it almost needs a contest of it's own - I think you've got the new English Heritage poster campaign sewn up right here! It is the very essence of childhood and make-believe the action of charging and energy - love it ! well done a very natural picture full of imagination and intrigue that draws the viewer in
There is lots going on here- I love being part of the action - the union jack in the background - the heat of battle - we are drawn instantly into the gun smoke and it works very well as a shot - The infantry red standing out proudly - a great capture that embodies the essence of re-enactment and storytelling
