Red and White

What a great capture! This red truck with twin exhausts roaring towards you down the center of the highway. Its speed evident with the thrown up snow flurries. I look for somewhere to escape...seemingly there isn't any! The red signals danger, the truck looks like a horned beast. Great that you are able to get an emotional charge from an image, very well done and congratulations on making my top ten.

The classic three objects, in this case a rectangle a square and a triangle with a repeating pattern in the rectangle and the square. The deep window frame gives the image a more three dimensional look with the tiles adding leading perspective lines, this constantly draws the eye in. I find I am drawn between the plant pot and the window. The wall has a soft texture with just enough shadow definition in the recess. I personally find the utility pipe a little distracting, but still an excellent capture. Well done and congratulations on making my top ten.

This image meets the brief in every way being composed of only red and white. I presume this is an underwater shot, but lacking a description I can not be absolutely sure. The beautiful brittle star with its whip like arms making its way over the coral is a sight that most of us will never have the privilege of seeing. The brittle star is well composed and nicely detailed. Congratulations on making my top ten.

A very interesting abstract that invites the viewer to make their own interpretation The analysis may not be what the artist intended but to my mind that is not what is important. What is important is that the image provokes interest, reaction consideration. The only clue is in the title desiderio divorante, Italian for consuming desire. To me the straight sharp lines convey energy, while the curves formed by the ends of these lines depict control within that energy. The central position of the elements gives a vortex influence,while red is a traditional color for passion, desire and love as well as other interpretations. A carefully planned abstract worthy of my number one selection. Well done.
