Please note: The contest is not for photos of reflections. Entries should show refraction, not reflections. This contest is for your photos showing refraction, whether using a glass ball, waterdrops or a glass of water etc. Refraction is the phenomenon of light rays bending when they pass through an angled or curved surface that sits between your camera and the main subject. Refraction images are always mirrored and are different from a reflection, which is caused when light bounces off a reflective surface rather than passing through it. Photos can be in colour or black and white.
Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submissions period has ended. You can see all the images uploaded to a contest, but will need to rate them to see how they’re ranked once the rating period begins.
Some contests on Photocrowd also have a judge. After the submission period closes the judge chooses their favourite images and writes some image reviews. The crowd and judge results will be announced on the same day.
