Well, this is a new one! I've never seen an event like this inside of a church. I love how this image transforms what for many is a familiar place of worship into a recreational space, of sorts. The blue tones throughout suggest relaxation. But what particularly makes the photo for me are the people lying on their backs in the aisles and looking up at the ceiling, almost as if they are stargazing. Great job!

I really like what's happening with light and color in this image – in particular, the mix of warm and cool tones. The paint of the tram matches the yellow glow of the church façade so well; what luck! I also love the leading lines, both those of the tracks on the street and those of the wires above. They really guide the eye to all the different details of the image. Great job!

Lovely image! I like how minimalist this scene is - and how vast and minimalist the landscapes are in Iceland more broadly, which this image alludes to. Great use of depth of field here to capture the dense snowfall against the church in the background. The contrast between the dark siding of the church and the white of the snow is also really striking. Well done!

Each religion has developed its own architectural and decorative traditions, which are best exemplified in the places of worship and commemoration that have been constructed in its name. From cavernous cathedrals and mosques created at vast expense, to humble places of prayer that reflected the austere lives of the worshippers. Images of both interiors and exteriors are welcomed in this contest.
