Rodents

First of all thank you for entering this contest, and with such a charming photograph.

I know how difficult it can be to even spot these little fellows out and about, let alone capture that perfect cute adorable moment.

The colouring in this image is rich and deep, the lilac shades on the ball thistle really make this little harvest mouse pop with his caramel coat.

Excellent picture, thanks for letting us see it.

This image is so pleasing to the eye. Gentle tones and highlights and work to bring the chipmunk's markings into delightful focus, along with the bokeh which really does create a pin sharpness to his wee little fingers grasping that piece of maize.

I don't know if this was a set up shot or the gopher just trundled on into your line of site and you managed to capture an excellent photograph.

Either way this gave me a great amount of joy to see.

I love how focused he is on capturing that perfect picture to show all his little gopher friends!

The only thing that could have made this more adorable would have been having another wee creature, or even a human, sitting in front of the camera posing.

Well-done, this is truly lovely.

I chose this image to commend for many reasons, but the main one being it's ever so slightly different to the rest of the harvest mice images that were entered.

I love the silhouette and the way they look as if they're having a romantic smooch by moonlight.
